Quick Start
This guide walks through the fastest path from a new account to an organized Marqly library.
1. Create or sign in to your account
- Open Marqly.
- Choose Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, or enter your email address.
- If you use email, enter the code on the Verify Email Address screen.
- Complete onboarding if Marqly asks for your name, username, intent, and starter structure.
See Create Account for the full sign-in flow.
2. Create a Board
Boards are the main containers for your Bookmarks.
- In the sidebar, find Boards.
- Select Create new board.
- Enter a Board name, such as Research, Reading List, Work Dashboard, or Inspiration Board.
- Choose a Board icon or color if you want a stronger visual cue.
- Save the Board.
You can add Subboards later. Subboard nesting is limited to two levels so the sidebar stays usable.
3. Add your first Bookmark
- Select Add Bookmark in the header.
- Paste a valid http or https URL into URL.
- Add or edit Title if needed.
- Choose a Board.
- Add Tags if they will help you filter later.
- Add a Note if the reason you saved the link is not obvious.
- Select Create Bookmark.
Pro and Business users can also use Add with AI to suggest Boards, Tags, and summaries.
4. Open the Bookmark view sheet
Select a Bookmark to open its details. Depending on the link and your plan, you may see:
- Preview or Offline.
- Reader for readable pages.
- Notes.
- AI Summary.
- Highlights.
From the same sheet you can Open in New Tab, Copy URL, Save Offline, Share, Edit, or Delete.
5. Search everything
Use Search everything... in the header to find saved links. Search suggestions can include Tags, Boards, recent searches, and a direct search action.
Use the scope toggle to search All Bookmarks or Current Board. Press Cmd+Shift+F on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+F on Windows/Linux to switch search scope.
6. Install a saving shortcut
For daily use, install one of the Marqly apps:
