Moodboard View

Moodboard shows a Board as a wall of pictures instead of a grid of cards. Tiles keep each image's own shape, so a tall screenshot stays tall and a wide banner stays wide.

Use it when you are looking for something you would recognise by sight — design references, photography, product shots, screenshots — rather than reading titles.

Switch to Moodboard​

  1. Open any view: All bookmarks, a Board, a Tag filter, or search results.
  2. Click Change view in the toolbar.
  3. Choose Moodboard view.

Pressing V cycles through the views in order: Card, List, Condensed, Moodboard.

Marqly remembers the view per device, so your phone and your laptop can be set differently.

What each tile shows​

Marqly picks the tile for you, from the Bookmark itself:

  • A link that is an image (a .jpg, .png, .webp and so on) fills its tile edge to edge, with no title over it.
  • A page with a cover shows the cover, one line of title, and the site it came from.
  • A video shows its thumbnail with a play badge.
  • A Bookmark with no picture becomes a text tile with the site's icon — Moodboard never invents a cover for it.
  • Under the Highlights filter, a Bookmark shows the highlighted passage instead.

A cover you set yourself always wins, exactly as it does in Card view. If you have used Reset cover, Moodboard follows that too.

Tile width​

  1. Click Change view while Moodboard is active.
  2. Drag the Tile width slider.

Narrower tiles fit more columns; wider tiles show fewer, larger pictures. The setting is saved on that device only, and the number of columns also depends on your window width — phones always show two.

Sorting​

Moodboard follows the order the Board is already sorted by. Manual (drag-to-reorder) sorting is done in Card view; Moodboard shows the same order but has no drag handles of its own, and says so above the wall while manual sort is on.

Selecting and acting on tiles​

Everything you can do to a card you can do to a tile:

  • Hover a tile (or tap on touch) to reveal its selection checkbox, then use the selected Bookmarks bar — see Bulk Actions.
  • Right-click a tile for the same menu a card has: open, share, copy link, move or copy to a Board, tags, edit, note, delete.
  • Clicking a tile does whatever a click on a card does, which you choose in Settings → Behavior: open the page in a new tab, or open it inside Marqly.

Shared public Boards can be viewed as a Moodboard too — the visitor chooses the view, and their choice does not change yours.
